Several thousand staff, patients and vistors to York Teaching Hospital will be the first to view a part of the New Light Collection as 14 artworks were installed this week. The Collection will be exhibited in York Hospital over the next 12 months with opportunities for staff, patients and their carers to take part in artist-run workshops and talks.

New Light is very excited to be working with the Arts Team at York Teaching Hospital, who continue to improve and manage a wide variety of artworks throughout the hospital as part of the far-reaching and important role the visual arts has to offer for improved health and wellbeing.

Hang My Art have been instrumental in ensuring the pieces have the right impact within the hospital environment by expertly hanging and placing them. We are very grateful to their support and advice and are learning from them all the time! Without such generosity these projects just wouldn’t happen.
