Our final featured artist is Emerson Mayes. Yorkshire born, Emerson has enjoyed a growing reputation for his work. He has received a number of major awards and had many successful exhibitions across the country. His work can be found in many private, corporate and public collections including The House of Lords and the National Trust.

He is currently depicting the flora and fauna of the Aislabie family’s two historic ‘pleasure gardens’: Studley Royal and Hackfall Wood, along with the now forgotten carriageway which linked the two. This work will result in a solo show at 108 Fine Art, Harrogate, in October 2014.

Emerson recently joined the Board of New Lights.
