With five weeks to go before our Call for Entries closes, we have announced the winners of our social media competitions with Leeds-based printmaker Cath Brooke being pulled out of the Twitter hat, and painter Susan Laughton winning the Facebook draw. As a result, both now have the chance to enter three works free of charge into this year’s Prize Exhibition.
All artists with a connection to the North of England still have time to apply and be in with a chance of winning the £10,000 Valeria Sykes Award, as the call for entries closes at 5pm on 31st July. To enter, artists must have been born, reside or have studied for their degree or postgraduate qualification in Cleveland, County Durham, Lancashire (including Liverpool and Manchester which were previously in the county), Northumberland or Yorkshire. All wall-hung work is acceptable, apart from digital images, photography or works requiring an external power source.
Good luck to Cath, Susan and all our entrants!
