The paintings of collections that I make portray objects such as books, records and ephemera, which behold properties impinging passions and hobbies.
The still-life studies are a visual translation of the physical qualities connected with ownership, that of memories being conserved and a certain aspiration to capture meaning in our accumulation of retro material things.
What plays a large part in my work is an interest in the back stories igniting an interest from an entire generation. The selection of records included is popular dance/electronic music on vinyl format released during the 1990’s.
