Alan Flood is a British artist living and working in the Colne Valley in the North of England. He has received numerous commissions and residences including The Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and Opera North. In 1998 he was invited by the Artists Union of Kazakhstan to visit and exhibit in Almaty. His work has been exhibited at The National Portrait Gallery and The Palace of The Republic in Kazakhstan and is included in many private and public collections throughout the World.
His work is an eclectic mix of subjects ranging from portraits, group figure compositions to still life, interiors, landscapes and mixed media pieces, working with a diverse range of media. Stylistically he frequently moves between classical figuration and abstraction. Portraits include Ed Sheeran, Prue Leith, Sir Ernest Hall OBE, Marat Bisengaliev, the singer Rebecca Cain and Keith Howard OBE.
