The New Light Collection

‘It is a privilege to donate a piece to be included in the New Light Collection which enables charities, schools, and others to benefit from the feeling of well-being that contemporary art can bring. It’s fantastic to be able to give something back to New Light and the wider community and to be part of this growing and generous collection.’

New Light aims to take the best of contemporary Northern art out of the gallery and into public spaces – enabling schools, colleges, charities, hospitals and community groups to borrow the Collection free of charge. We are also always looking for sponsors to help us with the cost of looking after the Collection and ensuring it can be borrowed by anyone without making a charge.

Several of the artworks will be on loan to York and Scarborough Hospitals throughout 2023 and 2024. Thank you to the Arts in Hospitals team for their continued support.

Also, eight pieces are currently on loan to The Retreat Clinics, York.
