Clare studied Printmaking at Hull University, and now works from her studio in the Peak District town of New Mills. The grit stone landscape and Industrial heritage of the area provides much of her inspiration.

Her work depicts places with narratives and shared histories, and each piece has a story to tell.  Drawing is at the heart of her practice, and working from observation she seeks to record the world beyond the camera lens.

Clare is a member of The Hot Bed Press in Salford. She has exhibited widely across Britain, and has work in collections across the globe.
