Lindy Norton

Going Home

Description

KDrypoint etching, hand coloured (edition of 40)
28cm x 30cm

After growing up in North Africa Lindy Norton moved to Yorkshire at the age of nine. She went on to complete a B.A (HONS) in Fine Art at Hull School of Art and Design and in 1983 an M.A in Printmaking at Chelsea School of Art. After completing the M.A at Chelsea Lindy lived in London, teaching part time and working as a freelance illustrator. In 2000 Lindy left London and moved back to Yorkshire, where she taught illustration at degree level while raising her daughter. In 2019 she completed an M.A in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Much of her recent work is to do with mood and narrative, exploring ambiguity with mystery, hinting at a sense of unease.
