Caz Scott is a Sheffield based artist and portraitist. Her work has been influenced by life in an industrial city that is surrounded by stunning Derbyshire countryside, to value humans as part of nature.
Caz creates oil paintings and charcoal drawings of people to explore distance or connectedness with the universe, as well as making portraits to celebrate individuals as unique and valuable subjects.
In 2002 Caz attained a Post Graduate Degree in Art Psychotherapy at The University of Sheffield. She went on to run art groups in NHS hospitals and curate patient art exhibitions. She was also employed to set up art groups throughout the Sheffield Teaching Hospital’s NHS Trust.
Caz has also exhibited and sold her own artwork through group and solo exhibitions, within gallery auction, and produced many paintings for private commissions.
She aspires to make art that supports people and our planet.
