Vic Harris is a retired psychiatrist. He retired from the NHS n 2009 and took up painting in 2010. He specialises in oil portraits, and aims to capture something revelatory in the sitters expression. He has exhibited in several national competitions in London and elsewhere, and three times in the New Light Prize Exhibition for northern artists
Vic won the New Light Patron’s Choice Award in 2020 with ‘Forlorn’. It is now part of the New Light Collection.
