‘This intense portrait is centered around the mobile phone, a device we are becoming increasingly slave to. The penetrative gaze heightens the feeling of uncertainty and of unnervingly being watched by multiple viewpoints, described in the painting with the reflections and as a metaphor our world within for social media.’
