November 11, 2023 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm The Williamson Art Gallery & Museum, Slatey Road, Birkenhead, Wirral, CH43 4UE

Take an interactive tour around the exhibition with art historian Sara Riccardi, founder of Art Across.

Have you ever wandered around an art exhibition and asked yourself if you were “supposed to” see certain things, feel a certain way, understand certain ideas? Or ever felt like you needed some special knowledge to access some artworks? Or, do you enjoy sharing thoughts and ideas about art, and learning about other people’s perspective?

The New Light Art exhibition includes over 100 artworks. In this tour, Sara will apply her usual methodology of art engagement facilitating, and create some pathways through the exhibition, finding threads of connection among the many different pieces, and discussing themes, ideas, visual devices, to unlock the stories in the show, and engage with them.

Sara’s expertise and art-historical contextualisation will be tools to enhance and expand the possibilities for personal connection with the art, starting from individual perspectives and preferences.
