The end of each leg of the Prize Exhibition tour always has a slight sense of sadness… a sense that is soon lifted when the TIG Visitors Choice Award votes are counted and we can reveal whose work captured the audience’s imagination.
At Huddersfield Art Gallery the painting that gained the most votes was ‘Freya’ by Rhea Sherriff-Hammond. We caught up with her, in her farmhouse studio on the North Yorkshire Moors, before the exhibition launched to find out a bit more about her thoughts on the North and her work…
A big thank you to Leo Rotaru and The Bowes Museum.
